The NDIS and you

You might be eligible for the NDIS if you:

• live in Australia and are an Australian citizen or permanent resident
• are under 65 years old
• have a lifelong impairment or disability that stops you from doing everyday things by yourself

You can contact us to check your eligibility for NDIS. When you’re ready, you can apply to the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) and they will get you started.

What Does the NDIS Do?

The NDIS funds necessary support services that are linked to outcomes identified in a participant’s plan. These support services must:

• Be associated with day-to-day living and activities that increase your social/economic participation
• Be a health resource or a piece of equipment/assistive technology
• Help you build valuable skills that will improve your life, including opportunities to work, furthering your education and volunteering

Setting Your Goals

A lot of participants in the NDIS aren’t completely sure of their long-term goals. This is understandable, and your plan will focus on your immediate needs while offering you the chance to reflect on your longer-term needs and goals. The CareCo team can work with you and your family to establish your goals.

Invoicing– If a participant requires invoicing, we will submit one for quick reimbursement If you are a participant of NDIS and you have a registered provider, you can nominate CareCo to be your preferred support care company.
